Our Curriculum
Intent
When children leave Springhead Park, they are equipped with a strong academic foundation, curiosity to discover even more about their world, an empathetic outlook towards others and feel empowered to make a positive impact on their future.
Our approach to learning excites and promotes children’s curiosity through experiential pedagogy and nurturing, challenging climate.
Our curriculum is designed to reflect our locality, heritage and the world which we live in today. We support the children to assimilate new knowledge and skills with their previous learning, enrich themes with memorable and practical experiences and give the children opportunities to find and develop their individual passions.
Curriculum Design
Our bespoke curriculum has been tailored to meet the needs of all children at Springhead Park Primary School. Our curriculum themes (pictured below) have been designed to reflect the uniqueness of our school community.
Alongside these themes, National Curriculum objectives are strategically mapped out to enable a clear progression of knowledge and skills within every subject, from when the children first join us in Early Years to when they leave us in Year 6.
