Welcome to Eagle Class!
Welcome to the Eagle Class page! We are so pleased to have you as part of our class community. This page will provide you with useful information and help you stay connected with your child’s learning throughout the year. You will find regular updates, class resources, important announcements and information about the exciting activities and experiences taking place in Eagle Class.
Our aim is to provide a caring, positive and supportive environment where every child feels confident to explore new ideas, develop their skills and reach their full potential. We strongly value the relationship between home and school and encourage open communication with families. By working together, we can support each child and help make their time in Eagle Class as enjoyable and successful as possible.
Year 6 is an important year as we prepare our children for the transition to secondary school. At Springhead Park, we are passionate about creating special experiences and lasting memories for our Year 6 children to take with them into the future. Throughout the year, they will have the opportunity to enjoy a range of memorable experiences, including the Year 6 residential, school production, Year 6 leavers’ disco, as well as a variety of educational trips and visits.
Our class texts are sequenced to ensure the children are exposed to a wide range of text, such as, Where the River Runs Gold, Goodnight Mister Tom, Tales from India, and Tamarind and the Star of Ishta. We love to pick exciting books that our children will enjoy reading, linking this reading work to writing tasks during our English lessons.
