FOSPP

Welcome to FOSPP

Friends of Springhead Park Primary (FOSPP), is the PTA at Springhead Park Primary School. We have been running since March 2021, and have been a registered charity (1202318) since March 2023. FOSPP is made up of parent and carer members who volunteer their time to help plan and organise events and activities. The committee is led by an Officers team (Chair, Treasurer, Secretary etc) who are elected at our AGM each academic year. We also work closely with the school staff via our Key School Contact.

The main aim of FOSPP is to support the school to provide an excellent learning environment for all our students. We do that by raising money to provide additional resources and activities, and running events to give great experiences to the children, their families, and the local community. We align ourselves to the School’s Values: Courage, Joy, Creativity, Kindness, Curiosity and Empowerment, and try to consider these in how we run our events.

We organise regular events for the school community including: summer fayres, school discos, cake sales, raffles, recycling initiatives, seasonal activities such as our Christmas ‘Elfridges’ shop, and the student’s favourite ‘break the rules day’ at the end of each school year!

We give back to the school from our fundraising efforts by donating funds towards development of school resources, recently contributing a significant amount to the development of the new school library. We also fund wellbeing resources for the school and useful items such as hi-vis jackets for the students and staff to wear on school trips etc. We have also been able to provide funds to help subsidise school trips for the students and to enable the students to attend enrichment activities in the community.

We also run regular pre-loved school uniform sales, which promote kindness, sharing, and a sense of community, as well as saving everyone some money and keeping reuseable items out of landfill. Even more importantly this empowers the children to consider how we can all help others and the environment.

FOSPP are always looking for members to join their volunteering team and to help with planning and running events. If you would be interested in joining the team (with as much or as little time as you can), please do get in touch with us at: friendsofspringheadparkprimary@gmail.com
