Meet the teacher... Miss Aldridge!
My name is Miss Aldridge and I have been a teacher for 7 years, in different years across Key Stage 2. I am passionate about having fun alongside learning and helping everyone to achieve their goals and dreams. My favourite subjects to teach are Art and Writing because I love to be creative. I have always loved writing. Even before I became a teacher, I trained to be a journalist, which is someone who writes for a newspaper. As well as writing, I love Art, especially painting with watercolours.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my niece and nephew who are 8 and 5. I often like to take them trampolining or to the park. I also love to cook, and to try out new recipes. I especially like trying to make Italian recipes with pasta or homemade pizzas! Do you enjoy cooking at home too?
I absolutely love reading and I am a big fan of the Harry Potter series - I have read all of the books and seen all of the films! Some of my other favourite authors are Vashti Hardy, Katherine Rundell and Louis Sachar. Who is your favourite author?
Useful Information:
- Spelling tests will take place on a Friday.
- PE will be taught on a Friday - you will need to wear your PE kit to school.
- Homework will be set on a Thursday and is due the following Thursday.
- Reading records will be checked on a weekly but need to be in school each day.
