Governance
Springhead Park Governance Partnership
At The Springhead Park Primary we have a dedicated Governance Partnership Board. All governance partners work voluntarily to ensure the effective management of the school, alongside the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher. They contribute a range of skills from a variety of backgrounds. The relationship between the Governance Partners and the Head teacher and staff is one of support and challenge.
Our Governance Partners are often in school, formally and informally, keeping in touch with school life. Our Governance Partners meet regularly throughout the year, either as a 'whole body' or in sub committees.
Governance Partners have some input on the following:
Long term plans and the direction of the school
School policies
Health and Safety, and the development and maintenance of the school
The quality of provision for all children, and setting targets for improvement
Attendance
Staffing
Parental queries

Parent Governance Partners:
Laura Kavanagh runs a small not-for-profit, community arts organisation that offers exciting, educational and unique projects, through the arts, for children, young people and communities. Laura will support the school to continue to be a place where the whole school community feel welcome and everyone's vision is heard and taken into account, to help create an amazing place for all our children.
Nnenna Jones has a background in project and change management. She is very passionate about wellbeing and ensuring that every child has their needs met. She will encourage strong links between the school parents and the community to help Springhead Park to develop and grow.
Staff Governance Partners:
Sarah Pattison works at the school in the role of Office Administrator. She has been involved the project since January 2020 and has been instrumental in sharing the school’s vision and values with all of our families, as well as working industriously behind the scenes to ensure that our communication infrastructure is in place so that our school can best serve this community.
PFT Appointed Governance Partners:
Steph Cox is the Head of Children’s Ministry at the Eastgate centre and is very passionate about developing partnerships across the Springhead Park Community. She has also worked as primary school teacher so has a good insight into the inner workings of a school.
