Jaguar Class
Welcome to Jaguar Class!
Hello, my name is Miss Hunter and I will be your teacher in Jaguar Class. I love food, especially cake! I have a dog called George who I enjoy taking for long walks. My favourite colour is pink although I love all bright colours. My favourite subjects are PE, writing and maths. We will also have Mrs Bhatti helping us to learn and grow. We are looking forward to learning alongside you all in Jaguar class and watching you grow throughout the year.
Useful information:
Spelling quizzes will be on Thursday. The spellings will be in your reading records and on TEAMS for you to practice each term.
PE will be on Friday afternoons with Tolu. You need to come into school in the correct PE kit.
Remember to bring your reading record and reading books in and place them in the basket at the start of every day. We will read with the children frequently and reading records will be checked once a week. Please make sure you are reading at home every day.

Home Learning
Children will be expected to complete their home learning each week. Home learning consists of:
- Daily reading for at least 15 minutes. You can read to anyone in your household including your pet as long as it has been signed by an adult to acknowledge you have read.
Reading must be recorded in the reading record. Children will be responsible for handing in and collecting their reading record each day in the reading box so that it can be checked. The children independently change their books in the library.
- Daily spelling practise at home. The spellings will be tested on Thursday and children will write their results in their reading records to share their results with you. You can access the term’s spellings and dates that they will be tested on Teams and also the Spelling section on this website.
- Numbots or TT Rockstars for 10 mins each day. Practising number bonds or addition and subtraction on Numbots. On TTRS the 2, 5, 10 and 3 times tables. You can do this by logging on to your Numbots and TT Rockstars account. Your usernames and passwords have been stuck at the back of your reading record books.
A homework project will be set at the beginning of each half term which all children must complete. Children may select one of the activities from the suggested list given to complete for their project. Homework projects will be brought into school, to be celebrated, during the penultimate week of each term so that children can show and tell what they have created and learnt in the final week.
You can look at these home learning ideas on Teams, as well as below.
Check out the home learning projects on the relevant terms page.
