Welcome to Year One 

Fox Class

Hello and welcome to the Fox Class page! Your teacher this year is Miss Dyer and your LSA's are Miss Balm and Ms G. We are so excited to have your child join us for an exciting year of learning and growth in Year 1. Here in Fox Class, we are committed to creating a warm and supportive environment where every child can thrive, explore new ideas, and develop their skills. Throughout the year, we’ll be engaging in fun and enriching activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. We look forward to partnering with you to make this a fantastic year for your child!

Useful information: 

- Our PE days are on Tuesdays and Fridays - you will need to wear your PE kit these days. 

- We have assemblies in the hall on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and a in-class assembly on Tuesday. 

- Termly spellings are given out at the beginning of the term and spelling tests are held every Friday. 

- We expect your child to use Spelling Shed and Numbots for 10 minutes a day - there logins can be found in their reading records. 

- We visit the library every Monday and this is when your child's library book will be changed. 

- Your child's book will be changed every Friday and the expectation is that they read for 10 minutes everyday.
