Welcome to Squirrel Class!

Tapestry and Reading Books 

We use the programme 'Tapestry' to share the children's learning and achievements in school. You will be provided a login so you can access your child's journal and so you can share with us the activities outside of school. It could include photographs or information, your child's own attempts at writing and any other items you might like to share. 

Your child will be given a school book once a week, on Friday. Please read this to your child and share it with them and return this to the tray on a Wednesday.

Other Information 

• Our session times are 09:00-12:00, 12:30-15:30 or 09:00-15:30. Morning drop off is via the Nursery gate, to the side of the office. Please note our am session begins at 9am and the gate is open from 08:50 and closes promptly at 09:00. Children who attend the PM session will be collected from the school office at 12:30 by their teacher.
• Please provide a spare set of clothes for your child which can stay in Nursery on their peg. 
• We go out in all weathers in Nursery and encourage messy play therefore children should have named wellies and coats to wear for water and messy play outside. 
• Please can we ask that children do not bring their own toys into class, if they want to bring something to school to settle them, please ensure that you take it home with you, so it stays safe and doesn't get broken or lost. 
• We want your child to settle quickly and enjoy their time at Springhead Park Primary School. Please let us know of any concerns or questions you may have to help us do this.
