Nurturing Today, Empowering Tomorrow

Tuesday 9th June

Today was our final full day on residential, and it certainly didn't disappoint!

After enjoying pain au chocolat for breakfast, we headed straight into our first challenge of the day: the wobbly ladder. This activity saw the children climbing higher and higher up a rope ladder that swayed with every step. It was wonderful to see so many children showing courage, determination and resilience as they challenged themselves to reach new heights.

Next, we took part in a range of team-building games, where everyone worked together, communicated brilliantly and supported one another. After a picnic-style lunch of sandwiches, we were ready for another exciting afternoon.

One of the biggest talking points of the day was tomahawk throwing! The children loved learning a new skill and showed great focus as they aimed for the targets. We then explored the famous "cave bus" – a real bus transformed into a cave adventure complete with winding wooden tunnels and twists and turns to navigate. The fun continued on the rope obstacle course, where balance, bravery and teamwork were put to the test once again.

Dinner was a choice of fish fingers or peri-peri chicken, giving everyone the chance to refuel after such an active day. To round off our final evening, we gathered around a traditional campfire. It was the perfect way to end a fantastic residential, with lots of laughter, stories and special memories shared together.

The children have been absolutely amazing throughout the trip. They have embraced every challenge, supported their friends and represented the school brilliantly. We are so proud of them all!
